I've only ever really done hunter and M&M showing classes but a pro has suggested my mare would probably be best suited as a riding horse (not chunky enough for hunters but not dainty enough for hacks!). Now, what do you wear? I would be looking to do workers with her as well and looking at some classes at upcoming shows, they are quite close together so I'm panicking I'll have to rush in between classes to swop browbands, my jacket etc.! For WH everything is very plain (plain tack, hacking jacket etc.). I'm planning to get a bridle with a flat noseband but pretty narrow so I can get away with it for both classes. For RH - do you need to wear a colourful browband? And can I wear a hacking jacket? I have a navy show jacket (to go with my navy velvet hat) but its a Pikeur new generation kind so probably not traditional enough to get away with :(

One or two companies make browbands with poppers so you can do a quick change, Silverburn Browbands is one

Great thanks, I didn't think it was "done" to wear tweed with a coloured browband, clearly I was wrong! Yey, means I only have to buy a browband then and not a new jacket! Thanks WelshD, will go look at Silverburn Browbands now :)
