Riding in boots marketed as yard boots

i have some grassmeres atm, but the laces drive me mad! So anyone got any suggestions for a grassmere replacement without laces?

conistons? obv have laces but you don't have to use them (waterproof back zip) and when I did a recent thread about options quite a few people said they loved theirs :).
I appreciated my laces on my grasmeres this morning though, meant I could shove my waterproof trousers in them ;) :D

OP, my grasmeres were new off ebay and not £250 ;) 200 but that seemed more reasonable!

While I wouldn't ride in those, I did used to ride in these during winter -http://www.woofwear.com/for-riders/footwear/long-boot-adult_10.html (actually, the Derby House equivalent). They say not for riding but I loved the many pairs I had, and I don't have the effort to be changing boots.

Completely don't understand this thread. My only concern regarding footwear is ,"will I get hung up if I fall off?"Rode tonight in "Rigger boots ",steel toe capped construction workers boots , and my horse reacted and behaved as if I had been wearing the most fancy equestrian footwear. This means one of two things : either I am such a louse y rider that it makes no difference , or ,if you can ride ,it makes no difference. Take your pick.

Problem with rigger boots is that they are only mid calf? and wont cope to well with deep puddles, also I like to minimise the gap around the leg to stop too much straw in my house!

Shires neoprene riding boots, like Welles and riding boots rolled into one. Just seen they're on offer at robinsons for 29.99, just paid 59.99 for a pair grr.

you know how when you get mud.. and you walk through it it rubs it's way up the insides of your boots. That. I also suppose it depends how you give your leg aids.
