I wouldn't tack up to ride if it was raining. But if it rains when I'm already on then I won't stop riding. It is absolutely pouring here so I'm giving it a miss tonight, neither of us will enjoy it so what's the point?
If I plan to ride and it's a little bit drizzly then I'll ride, but won't intentionally ride in the rain as I mainly hack and it's more than a tad dangerous to be out on the roads in bad weather.
I LOVE the rain! It usually means I get the outdoor menage to myself
If anyone else is riding they'll go inside, haha.
Dante doesn't seem to mind it anyway, and that's all that matters. In winter when he's clipped I'll just make sure he's got a quarter sheet & is well dried off when he goes back in his stable
If it was really windy I might pass, but that goes with or without rain. I'd rather not ride in the wind... it's cold for a start!
I've always been on a pretty tight schedule until very recently so haven't had the option. Didn't go out in a thunderstorm the other week for the first time and felt very decadent!
Once every 10 years to remind me what a bad idea it is
I was forced to ride out in the rain last week - I was riding the traffic proof nanny pony - and it really wasn't nice.....
I don't sit in a puddle of cold water at any other time so why would I do so as a choice? Mind you, whinged so much that I don't think I'll asked to do it again. Result
