I am looking to purchase a pair of Woof long boots and would be interested to hear from anyone who has them and uses them for riding in as well as yard duties, and your general thoughts on them please.
I have a pair that I ride in as well as mucking out. They are lovely and warm but my feet did get wet trekking through our waterlogged fields last year.
I wouldn't buy another pair!! Maybe try the Derby House own brand ones instead.
i also have a pair and loved them until i got soaked from washing out feed bowls and realised they leaked around the seam where the rubber meets the fabric, they were only a few days old so it wasn't like they were well worn,i used them about 4 times and their now sat at the back of my shoe cupboard, much prefer my dubarrys!
I got some after my Tyne Muck boots split and after 6 wears I went and got another pair of Muck Boots! I didn't find them as warm or comfy, plus they were awful to ride in compared, no support and my foot really ached afterwards. They also made my feet stink which the Muck boots don't....
Just my opinion though! Got a barely used pair of size 4s if anyone is interested...
I have a pair and must admit, I live in mine every day!
I muck out, ride etc.
I agree they can tend to let the water in on the seam, but so do most mucker style boots.
I like mine, but i couldn't imagine spending a fortune on boots to stand in the in, (dubarry).
I have a pair of woof long boots and the derby house brand ones as well, and i use the woof long ones all the time for mucking out and riding in.
I have found that the derby house brand ones slip in the stirrup and then get stuck on the stirrup and i have a few friends that have found that as well, but they are good for keeping your feet warm.
Well i've had my dubarrys for 4 yrs now and have worn them practically everyday ( i dog walk for a living in them and head straight to the yard to ride, muck out etc) they still look just like new so i really do think they are worth the money,i don't think muck boots have good ankle support,i'll never have another pair again as i nearly broke my ankle in a pair when i was younger due to there being no support.I did give the ww ones a try but they failed on leakage within 2 days, pretty bad i say as it was only a trickle of water!
