Hi there

Being horseless for a while but thinking of buying again I am desperately looking for somewhere to keep up the riding as I am definately rusty to say the least. I live in Great Notley, Braintree area and would be grateful for some advice on where to go for lessons. The thing is I don't want to get stuck in the "going round in circles" lessons or places where they mainly cater for kids as I would really like to train again properly and even progress. I have looked at Ashen Equestrian Centre run by Becky Chapman but she is booked up until the summer!! Poplar Park (the eventing place) was mentioned as a possible but it is nearly 60 miles from me, however I am willing to travel even if I can only get fortnightly lessons. Any advice???
Many thanks as I am desperate!!
Kathleen

Kate Hemmings at Bridgefoot is pretty good. Its at Great Easton, near Dunmow. Her horses, if you can ride better than needing the riding school nedlets are good, Echo is wonderful! Kate jumps mainly and has regular sessions with Annette Lewis.
I hack there for lessons on my horse, or have lunge lessons on hers. Shes really nice, too!
Or Sarah Burton, at Great Sampford. Shes probably a 'better' instructor than Kate, but not sure how many horse she has for lessons at the moment.

Will pm you. I was thinking about you, though, as I set off to work, and if you are really interested in Becky Chapman anyone else is going to be second best!
