You have every right to be angry. You asked for a Confidence Giving lesson, so you should have been put on a horse that was safe for a beginner - a real school master.
Of course horses are horses, however, if I have a horse and rider in front of me that weren't gelling, I would ask for another horse and have done just that several times.
You should have been properly assessed. I am sorry you had such a bad experience. NOT all riding schools are like that.
