Riding lessons Ashtead/Effingham/Leatherhead/Headley/Cobham

Hi All,
I am having real trouble finding a yard that offers riding lessons around these areas. Most are just livery yards. I am looking to get my confidence back after riding for 2 years and then buying a horse who i have just sold who unfortunately has just knocked all my confidence out of me! I used to pay £30 for a half hour private lesson, or £35 for a 45minute lesson. I can't seem to find many riding yards near me, and ones ive seen further out are like £60 for a half hour private lesson!!
If anyone can suggest anywhere in or very close by to these areas that offer private lessons on lovely horses then please let me know. I'm really missing my riding!!

I can't think of many riding schools off hand in those areas - as you say it's mainly livery yards. But try Leon @ Woodlands Farm in Stoke d'Abernon - he does lessons sometimes, and has quite a few horses. Google LG Equestrian or PM me for contact details.

Otherwise Wildwoods near Epsom Downs is the only one that springs to mind, sorry.
 
There's also Lower Farm, also in Stoke D'Abernon who are BHS registered or if you could travel a little further, Linda Cannon at (I think) White Lane Farm, Newlands Corner is well thought of.
 
Thanks. I saw Wildwoods but its quite expensive and a bit far out. I had messaged lower farm but they had lots of restrictions on private lessons as in they mainly did them in the week when I would be at work. I have googled Linda, have read a lot of good reviews. Do you know if she has a website?
 
Try Slivermere in Cobham. But there is also Chessington Equestrian Centre; Old Barn Stables (Chessington); South Weylands (Hersham). If you want to go a bit further there is Kingston Riding School; Stag Lodge or Wimbledon Village Stables. If you look on the BHS website they will give you a list of BHS approved schools. The local council can supply a list of schools with a license.
 
Does anyone know anymore about Linda Cannon at White Lane Stables Guildford. I stopped my search for a while but I've been looking around online today and can't seem to find any real info on her apart from a phone number i tried to call but no ans. I wondered her prices etc? Cant believe how much some places charge, £68 for 1/2 hour private lesson - crazy!
