I'm having some trouble with my riding position at the moment - I'm sometimes twisting in the saddle, which affects everything else. I have lessons fairly regularly but would really like to find a good instructor who can help me hit the nail on the head and work on my posture so I can then start progressing. I've recently passed my BHS stage 1 horse care and knowledge but failed the riding because of my apparent imbalances in the saddle - if I can correct these faults and pass my stage 1 riding, I'll be over the moon.

I've had a lunge lesson, and quite a few riding lessons, recently at Brooksby but the lunge lesson didn't really throw up any major balance issues -- but I know the problem's there. Which school/equestrian centre would be my best bet for this? Are there any teachers who are particularly good at helping you correct your position? I like Brooksby and their tutors but during term time I can only really get a lesson every other weekend, due to my working hours and I'd like to find something which will fit in with my schedule more regularly, preferably during the week. Is it worth my while investing in a few lessons at Vale View? Are Owston Lodge any good? I've had a few lessons at Somerby which have been fun, but had nothing to really focus on my problem areas - are there any instructors there I should try and have a 1-2-1 lesson with?

Any advice or help would be appreciated. :)

Maybe try a chiro you might need a tweak? My friend has to have her pelvis 'done' quite regular as it causes her to ride lopsided. Just a thought :)

I was thinking of that. It might be a good idea. I work in a kennels and tend to walk dogs with my right arm (getting pulled mainly on my right side) so have a feeling it makes me wonky!
