Just had one of those really great lessons when everything becomes clear and you understand how you are meant to co-ordinate your body - and blimey, the horse suddenly goes so so well, even though everything is against you - it is blowing a gale, the cows are running around on the otherside of the menage and you have a hangover.
So, question is, over the last 10 years, I have had so many lessons but never quite 'got it' at that level - why does it take so long to develop 'feel'. Is it because 'feel' is such a difficult concept to teach, a case of not having natural talent or is it just because you have to be in the right frame of mind for it to click.
Or it is that is why we love riding, because you never ever reach the top of the montain, but occassionally you think you can see it? (Only to fall back down the next day??!)
