if anyone has no use to an arena how are you all coping with the very hard ground, i am getting to the point where i am needing to ride every day to keep a fatty trim as ground too solid to lunge, need the rain for the ground but the grass will grow, cant win

me too
trying to use the last of the fallow fields while out hacking so not riding the same compacted circle in the schooling field
rained yesterday though

i have no school and tend to do hacking out after work. but try to school when it a bit softer in different bits of te field

My field's on a slope and the botom bit is soft enough to lunge on....ATM. Thank God for the rain yesterday.

Other than that he hacks out, or gets walked inhand. He spends alot of time hoolying around the field with his field mates (two sheep... Ewie and Sooty

) so tends to burn off his excess eating that way.

Have a school but it is really deep and too much for the horse at the moment as he is unsound - so been hacking daily. YOu can still school on a hack - leg yield accross paths, get them to stretch etc.

Boring though! I want to play jumping!
