I have just placed an order for one as today was not a good hacking experience. I had all my high viz on as usual, it wasn't that the John Lewis van could not see me, I gave slow down signs and as it past the driver looked at me and laughed, I shouted that I would report him.
The driver in the car behind looked at me and said, what an a**e hole! I carried on to the edge of the village where there is a new Redrow"we think we are posh" development. I was turning in the cul de sac when my horse did a dump, a car was coming in and I said to the lady, My horse has just dumped I will be back later and pick it up. she said, no worries. Then this guy sticks his head over his fence and says, I would like you not to come down this road and to pick up the poo. I said, you were listening to what I just said to that lady? So he just repeated himself twice. I said, I come back if my horse dumps, yes he said but how long will that take. I said well I haven't got a giant poo bag on me!!!
I am always extremely polite as a rider and as a driver, it was how I was brought up. It is just one or two selfish, "don't give a stuff" drivers that ruin it but it seems to be almost every time I hack out. 4-5 times a week. I need every tool available as I will not be bullied off the roads.
