Thanks for the replies. Hooks Cross would have been my first choice, but they don't do lessons until they turn five. Twin trees don't until they are six!
We had a lesson on Sunday at Welwyn equestrian centre, although when we turned up we were told all the lessons were cancelled (they hadn't let us know). As it was her birthday, they let us have an informal lesson, but I am hesitating to book again because I don't want to upset my daughter.
I have booked her a couple of lessons at Contessa riding school in Ware...looks quite good and maybe I could have some too! (I sold my horse 4 years ago due to having a baby and miss it like crazy!)
I thought Courtlands looked quite casual from their website too.
I have a saddle fitting customer who cannot find a riding school to take her tot for love nor money - it appears the 5 year old limit is very very common, nice to hear that someone takes them!
I have been looking for a share pony for her as i would be able to teach her myself. Plan to buy her a pony eventually, but i really cannot commit at the moment as i have a young baby too.
Will see how Contessa is, and will try Ickleford if needed.
