Riding School in Durham

Hi

Im a north-eastener anyway but working just outside Durham until Christmas. A couple of guys I work with would like to go riding while they are here. Could anyone recommend a riding stable anywhere around Durham?

I've never been but Pockerley Riding School near Beamish has received Highly Commended for their teaching on the BHS website.

There is alos Coppey Farm near Beamish, particularly if you are interested in dressage as the daughter is a former GB young rider international and she teaches.

Is Coppy Farm still a riding school? I know they still have a livery yard there. I did my BHS exams there as a working pupil there 20 years ago, it was a big riding school / livery and they were big into showing then, had wins at HOYS with hacks and ponies.
