Hi all,
A colleague of mine has just moved from New York with his girlfriend and she wants to find somewhere she can continue with her riding lessons. He has asked me if I can recommend somewhere in or near to Central London.
As I commute in, I really have no idea! I could easily search the Internet and give him a list but wondered if any of you have experienced any in this area?

Thanks x

What type of riding does she want to do? Hyde Park Stables give lessons, but if she wants to do anything a bit more advanced, dont think it will happen. I used to travel out to Chessington Equestrian Centre for lessons as well as Wildwoods. There are a couple in Kingston and Wimbledon way that she may want to check out. Hope this helps :)

I went to Lea Valley years ago - it was good then, but can't say if it's still ok - just might be worth a try. Also Trent Park is on the tube line and I had some good lessons there, again many years ago!

If she wants to go for a pleasant Sunday hack, High Beach in Epping Forest is good for that, a cab ride or longish walk from Loughton tube and much cheaper than Hyde Park according to some friends of mine that live in central London and travel out fortnightly to ride at High Beach.

I learnt to ride at Mudchute in Docklands years ago haven't a clue what it's like now, also kept my horse at lee valley for a while. Eastminster is good, its a little bit further out in Hornchurch.

Donot touch Trent Park, I have heard of some real unplesant experiences with them and they are also seriousley over Priced! LEC (London Equestrian Centre) is by far the better option.
