Can anyone reccomend a good riding school in the Derby area?
My daughter is 7 and has been riding for about a year...so I`m looking for somewhere friendly with a good selection of ponys around 12 hands,
preferably with livery facilities as this is something we are thinking about for the future.
Many thanks for your help. Alex

Barleyfields Is a very nice riding school - particularly if she wants to take it "seriously" they have hundreds of ponies & are very professional.

I love Ridgewood riding school personally. It is very friendly not at all snobby, really wants to help you; they also have a nice selection of ponies. It isnt as "proffessional" as Barleyfields, but I do prefer it.

There are also a few I wouldnt recommend; however I cant post them on here due to the forum T&Cs! But if you would like anymore infor on anything in this post drop me a pm!

Welcome to the forum BTW!

I ride at Ridgewood at Alderwasley. There is a new instructor there who is absolutely fantastic - she is very highly qualified and has worked wonders with me already. And they do offer facilities for full, DIY and part livery.

Thanks everyone for your advice ...really nice to have some reccomendations to start us off.
We will hopefully be moving to Derby in the summer so will check out both Barleyfields and Ridgewood.
Really nice photos btw
Thanks again from Alex (and very excited daughter!)
