Any recommendations for schools in Fife? Preferably ones on a bus route as I don't drive.

I haven't ridden much for nearly two years (due to financial commitments) and I'm starting to get the itch again, and now that I have some spare cash flowing each month I want to start riding again with view to buying/competing again eventually.

Not too fussy about where in Fife, I'm quite happy to travel a bit further if necessary.

Thanks x

One of my friends has had a couple of lessons at Balcurvie, from what she says it was ok - but I can't really vouch for them. It's near Windygates. Another friend went to Barbarafield near Cupar. It seems ok as well. If you google riding schools fife, quite a few come up.

There is Edenside, it's right on a bus route near Guardbridge, the buses should be fairly frequent past there since it's on the way to St. Andrews. Never had a lesson there though so can't give you any judgement on the place.

There is Scholland near Colinsburgh, not sure if it's busable or not, but I'd def recommend it, I had a couple of very good lessons there on good horses.

There is Remus near Cardenden, not been there before but there facebook page suggests they do a lot regularly.

The Scottish Equestrian Centre sounds good, I know a couple of people who teach there and they are good instructors.

You've got Balcurvie in Windygates, its an alright place the horses are mainly older and are happy to just plod round the school.
Barbarafield does mostly hacking which is really nice.
My work, Kilconquhar Castle Estate has an equestrian centre, a good range of horses of all abilities, good instructors too for lessons and the hacking is really nice.
Edenside is quite good too.

i went to Barbarafeild at Craigrothie its really good they do instructive hacks which i got and found them really fun, better than just going round in a circle for an hour but that's just my opinion. they are £20 for a hours hack or £22 for a hours instructive hack
