I was slightly gutted to hear that the riding school I grew up at and where my mum was a regular has just closed down due to the spiralling costs of insurance, business rates etc.
My mum is looking for an alternative place to ride and I might be interested in having a few lessons myself. Mum is not the most confident but is competent and sympathetic; I don't think riding 'cheeky' riding school horses will do her any good but I think she'd love schoolmaster-type lessons where she could learn some more advanced stuff and does have an interest in dressage in particular. I'd be interested in the same sort of thing.
I'd like to hear any reccomendations, good or bad. If you could give us a clue as to prices etc that would be great too. We are Canterbury area (north of actually) but might travel further for an occasional treat.
