Evening all!

Am looking to go riding this coming weekend (the 11th) with my aunt, south of the river, and as a Norff London Lass, I'm clueless as to where we should go!

Hopefully they would be close to the Forest Hill area, and we'd be willing to drive up to 45mins/*maybe* an hour.

Any experiences you have had, good or bad, are welcome, I would love to find a BHS/ABRS place which could hopefully do hacks, otherwise a semi-private lesson. (Not too much to ask for then, eh?! ;) )

So far I have heard of:
  • Willowtree Riding Establishment - have heard good reviews, still trying to get them to pick up the phone!
  • Mottingham Farm RS - seen mixed reviews
  • (And not in South London but White Horse RS in Gravesend, again mixed reviews! *sigh*)
  • If there are any more I haven't listed, please do post them here :)

TIA lovely HHO-ers, you are all fab :D

Willowtree is very good (i used to work there many years ago) however they don't do hacking out at all as are in Lee Green and do not have any hacking nearby. Never been to Mottingham RS but have heard mixed reviews, they do though i believe let you hack around their own land.

Whitehorse seems very nice and a friend recently brought a horse from them and he has turned out to be exactly what they told her and 100% as advertised. When she went to try out the horse they were very accomadating letting her hack him out, ride him in the school and watch him on lessons as many times as she wanted until she and they knew that the horse and rider were 100% suited to each other.

Righto, its decided! Me and my aunt are going in a group lesson at Willowtree :) Tis all booked!

It does sound nice, will go and dig up some reviews again :D
