I've moved near Portsmouth and wondered if anyone could recommend a good riding school nearby? Closer to a train station the better! There appears to be one in Fareham but not sure what it's like.

Either that or looking for to share once or twice a week!

Oh right. Not that close to trains. I don't know much about it other than it's a very small school. You can get a train easy peasey to Pinkmead Farm, fairly easily to Quob Stables. There is Crofton as well (not close to trains though). You can come and meet my horsey

Pinkmead would be easiest for you to get to. Roshuana would be a couple of miles away by taxi from Fareham station. Out of the two I think Roshuana has the better reputation but is limited in what you can do there. Pinkmead has better facilities (I think - only ridden around their x country course at a comp once). Never had lessons at either as I have my own horse.

Quob is fairly easy to get to. I rode there for about 18 months and it was an ok riding school, though I feel it's overpriced for the tuition you get and the horses seemed a little bored of doing the same thing every day...
