Riding schools near York?

My niece is nagging for riding lessons and my sister's asked me for advice. I don't live anywhere near them so was hoping somebody would have suggestions?

My niece is six, and quite nervous/shy so ideally somewhere that doesn't do the shouty kind of lessons!

Naiburn riding school has a very good reputation, they are based fairly close to york. If you google you will find their contact details. Hope she enjoys her lessons.

It's funny as some years ago I was told Naburn had a bad reputation, but I know a friend whose children have been riding there and she thinks it's wonderful.
Red-1 on this forum has a friend who has gone there recently, possibly a bit more knowledgeable than my friend. You could ask if she knows what they thought.

There is Follifoot but that is more Harrogate way

Naburn is good actually. If you know about horses your not just looking at the teaching your looking at the horses. They are all up to weight and well. The instructors don't shout.
