Riding schools Notts/Derby

I'm trying to find a good riding school for my OH to learn to ride. Hes a complete beginner, about 5ft 10 and approx 13 stone.

Can anyone give me some recommendations for this area?

www.barleyfields.com at Etwall, but that might be a bit far from Ilkeston? (Geography isn't my strong point though!)

Hi I learnt to ride at barleyfields one of the best in the area i think. I tried hargate, elvaston and this was the best. I haven't been for a few years though but think its still pretty much the same. I had lessons for 5 years and then kept my pony there for another 2 years before going to university. Not highly recommended for livery though its very expensive!!

Thanks for the replys, I've booked him in at Hargate. I liked the look of their website, and after speaking to them and thier "evaluation" process I decided they seemed very suitable.

Hes going for his first 1/2hr private lesson on 14th feb. We're both looking forward to it
