Unfortunately it's not that easy - we'd all like a sponsor!
Best thing for your friend to do is to put together a sponsorship proposal and approach companies, but there are so many riders doing the same securing a sponsor is extremely difficult!
As posted above sponsorship is extremely hard to come by however i do know that recently British Horse Feeds have posted a competition ( on facebook) where you could have a chance to be sponsored by them.
Otherwise approach local companies.
