Found this clip earlier and thought it was rather nice for a horse to be able to ride down the A3 at Hindhead now that it has closed and new tunnel built and recently opened. I wonder whether the return to nature for the road will include some access for horses - hope so, the land gets passed from the Highways Agency to the National Trust for restoring to heathland once the road is dug up/covered over. Nice hacking and views you have round there in Surrey! I rather like Zorro the horse too :)

Wow, I really miss living down there, nothing in these parts compares for hacking. Had many happy hunts around the Punchbowl in the '70s and 80s. I'm not sure there is any pack hunting that area now. Lovely video!

I used to live around here when I was little had to move. Due to the tunnel I lived in 4 Longdown Cottages bet you been past many times! Never got to ride any of it though as we came to Cornwall in order to afford a pony. It was nice to walk and I used to fantasise about riding the length of it ! Immense.

Would suggest that you contact your local County BHS Access (Brideway) officer and make sure that things are put in place for horses.
