Hello. My friend and I are looking to take our poor decrepit old ex racers for a jolly day out. I wondered if anyone can give me some info on place one can park up and leave truck and trailer and go on a nice hack in the new forest. Off road bridle way route would be great as my girl is still recovering from founder and is happy with boots and pads off road but doesn't like the road. Thank you very much

Where are you coming from?

I see horseboxes parked in the carparks all over the place, so there is quite a choice.
Better to avoid the weekends though, especially if it's a nice day as it can get very busy in some places.

Th only caution is that a lot of tracks are very stony, so you would be best to stick to the open heathland. The marked cycle tracks in particular. You shouldn't need to touch the roads at all really.
