I have discovered the joy and benefits of riding to music in the arena. It energises me, and thus I energise the horse (or attempt to). I ride with increased feel and relaxation. It really is a game changer.
I have a boom box that I can crank up loud and play whatever is in my ‘Horse’ playlist.

That‘s where I need some suggestions of what to play please.

I currently have things like Jean Michel Jarre, Enya, Cafe Del Mar and some classical.
I’d love some suggestions of rhythmic, mostly instrumental, upbeat tunes to keep the variety up.

You can find the album for the entire Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art’s gala performance on Spotify “Como Bailan Los Caballos Andaluces” which isn’t a bad shout. I also tend to find classic disco tunes go well or if you feeling more sedate Andrea Bocelli?

What about Stranger On The Shore?

I totally adore that tune, but it MUST be the version done by Acker Bilk. I go into raptures.

Perhaps the rhythm isn't right, but surely we could only ride brilliantly when having that tune scream across the surface?

How wonderful to have such a set-up.

*sigh*

With my 'equidance' thingy attached to my wrist and sat on my PRE horse, I listen to some lovely classical spanish guitar music, but I mix it up a bit sometimes......'Us and Them' Pink Floyd is lovely to ride to, Ravels `Bolero'.....etc etc.

If I ever get round to doing dressage to music I want to do it to cheesy 70's disco!
