Cooler weather now. Who's hacking today? And enjoying the ride.

Much cooler and more pleasant for us and the horses. I had a lovely hack this morning and hardly any flies!

We went for a long walk this mornng. OH heard horses feet on tarmac near our yard but we saw none.

I hacked my spotty boy and schooled the spotty girl this morning. Puggy was on a mission again this morning - he’s definitely happier now the ground has a bit of give in it again. We’ve had some very heavy rain this afternoon!

I did some field schooling, but had to cut it short yesterday because yet another thundery cloud was coming over!

Planning on a mini-hack today.

Yesterday I had a group lesson at a riding school, started with flat work and finished with some 50cm cross poles. Went really well and was a nice confidence boost after last Sundays fall off the horse we went to see. Will take retired coblet for a short in hand walk today and then tomorrow planning to hack out on livery owners pony as she’s away and he needs the exercise ahead of an 80km endurance
ride he’s doing in a fortnight.
