So how many of us will be riding tonight without the use of flood lights

I LOVE SPRING.

i havent had to use floodlights for ages now! As i finish work at 4ish ive been able to dash to the yard and ride both mine before dark (6:30ish) for about a month now which has been lovely!

Nope.....The horses are both having a couple of well deserved days off....but come wednesday i hope to be hacking one out each evening before schooling the other. It will make Trike a much happier horse for sure....he really doesn't 'get' 4 days a week schooling for 6 months

I confess that i have been able to ride after work for a while, although havent felt happy hacking out as it isnt the lightest around 5:30! or i ride before work.

However, there are MANY who dont finish work and get to the yard until gone 6pm.

We have no arena and no lights so the clocks going forward are great. We have hacked out a few times after work over the last couple of weeks but its been a bit dodgy getting back through the country lanes. I will now have riding kit in the back of my car at all times to take advantage of the light and weather

Isn't it fab, I dont get to the yard until after 6 normally so really looking forward to a nice hack out with out the worry of it getting dark so early. Cant wait

Makes life SO much easier...

The big difference for me is that I can now hack out with daughter after school and know that we can be back before dusk

.

I'm riding tonight in the school, fingers crossed

can't wait to start hacking out again on an evening when the roads are quieter and I can get to the bridlepath and have a hooley up it.

Dont know if im riding tonight or not but doesnt make any difference ... but will be nice to actually go for a hack ... normally have to wait for hubbie to get in from work so he can look after the boys and that normally happens around 6pm . So would make a nice change .

How did the jumping go F??

Well he jumped lol, however, was on the end of a lunge line but popped him over trotting poles and then steadily increased the height to around 2'6 i think it would be.

He did one at the end, saw his own stride and really stood off my face was a picture

one of those that had I been on board it wouldn't have been for very long, he really is quite scopey, shame its wasted on me.

Will do some more jumping with him at the weekend but for now he's back to flatwork.

2 weeks off seems to have suited him, he was very relaxed last night.
