Riding using your voice ??

Sis & I hack together frequently. We will often say to each other e.g. 'let's trot to/from 40 sign'. No matter which of them is in front they will both start/stop as the front one reaches the sign. I should add that we make a point of not having trotting/cantering places, so it's not that they know where we do particular things, they must understand/pick up what we mean.

I always talk to my girl...even during dressage tests. Know you aren't supposed to, but can't seem to help it, fortunately not been pulled up for it yet but sure it will happen lol

My horses are all voice trained because I drive so my driving horse knows his name walk trot canter , gallop which means go like stink until the next command whoa steady stand and rest ( means stand and relax in opposed to stand and be ready to do something)
Left ,right ,round ( as in right round as in turn right tightly)back for rien back ,on for straight and a bigger pace within the pace you are in and come for more impulsion.
He's extremely obedient but you have to cut the chat to keep them really sharp and reponsive to the voice.
He does ridden dressage to and has learnt that that's no voice with no issues except he does struggle a little in the canter transition without the voice .
