ive put him in will see what hes like in the morning .. just cant seem to get my head round it as to whats wrong with him .. grrr dont really wanna call the vet out ... just yet ...
ermmmmm he has been lame before but with his feet .. dotn help in the dry conditions ... hmmmmmm thinking now what could be wrong with him ...i seem to think its further up the leg or possibly the shoulder.. hmmmmm

Has he possibly pulled something? Or been kicked and the swelling hasnt come up?

Sometimes they totally baffle you! Mine couldnt walk one day, falling over on the concrete, called the vet out immediately, he had no clue, gave me two bute to give to him and told me to call the farrier. Cost me £60!! Farrier came out, nothing wrong with shoes/hooves etc so I put him on bute and box rest for a week. Still no clue what it was!

strange isnt it ive not long had the farrier well about 2 weeks ago! .. im thinking it could be his shoulder dont know why none of the others would of kicked him as hes the dominent one. no heat no swelling nothing apart from the limp when you turn him more to the left rein

I had that problem once with my horse. He has trouble after farroer visitis as he has thin walls or something. Anyway, he went lame, wasn't hopping but it seemed to be his shoulder as he was only really bad when turning. We the farrier out, couldn't find anything (and my horse has suffeed abscesses before), we got a physio out, nothing wrong with him and still horse is lame. Got farrier BACK out (could have been time for shoeing again) and he found there was indeed an abscess that had worked it's way round the outside of te foot!

He's done it again since, last year it was but his abscesses seem to hide! It's quite often a week or more after he's been shod as takes that time I think for the pressure to have built up and start causing discomfort. If he doesn't seem to improve I would maybe suggest getting the farrier back to have a dig around to be honest. He could have even just bruised the foot on the hard ground when slightly sensitive following the shoeing.

Only just read this, what a rotten thing to happen, hope he comes sound soon. My mare was not lame until in trot, turned out to be her neck. Chiro and accupuncture sorted her out
