Having just consumed 4 bottles of wine between 3 people at a very important business lunch, I was hoping you could reassure me that I should go home straight to bed this afternoon rather than schooling my 2 horses in the rain.

Many thanks.

HIc :D

No, no you get back home and go to bed

But make sure you get up so early tomorrow morning that you can school them both twice - once early in the morning and once late afternoon.

Haha, if I had at least of bottle of wine to myself, I doubt I'd have the balance to stay on top a horse, let alone school one!!

Me thinks a good snooze and a chilled out evening then a nice day of schooling tomorrow hehe. If there's a hangover, riding should help clear it anyways :D

Both, which I hope to read prior to the very strong coffee I am about to brew :D

ok 4 bottles between 3 people, so that's what...5 glass to a bottle roughly, so that's 6 glasses each roughly

*thinks about how drunk I'd be with that much* hmmmm

hmm right ok.

If can you can direct the correct key through the keyhole without it taking longer than 10 seconds and you can walk in reasonably straight line (in your riding boots) and can tack up the right horse with it's own tack

..... you'll be fine :D

being full of wine around horses can have its advantages.....I went to fetch my mare in after a bottle of red and fell down a foxhole.......if it had not have been for my relaxed state, I would have probably broken my leg, instead I just gracefully crumpled to the floor!!!

lol :D

although glad you didn't break anything of course.

PMSL Tangoharvey.

My boss has just announced we are going to the pub. I am afraid that the poor long suffering neddies are going to have a well earned day off. I simply cant face it :D

Funny think is I really REALLY dont enjoy being drunk? I enjoy the 'getting there' stage but now I am sat here swigging coffee and wishing I was home in bed with the dog.

R2R, how will you get to your horses? You aren't going to drive are you??
I've never actually ridden drunk, although I have been so hungover that I might as well have been drunk. That experience was not a good one...

Flicker, I work in london so it is a train, 5 min walk, and then 2 min cab ride to my best mates where I have a lovely duvet and pj's!!

Am however going to the pub (again, apparently) and then going to get the district line home, to bed, with my dog. :D

I'd love to have bottles the size of yours to get 5 glasses out of them!!!!

Go ride OP - it will be enjoyable :) I was riding a 2yr old on Saturday after a Champagne breakfast - 3 glasses of bubbles and nil solids, I was raring to go!

well I guess it depends on how much you fill your wine glasses up and the size of the glass, usually when your sharing amongst friends, it's curtious to only fill them just over half...well 2 3rds ish, not that I personally do though :D

Oohh I couldn't work in an italian restaurant, every time we go to one for a meal, I have to point at the menu to order, because I cant pronounce anything lol.

I decided a while ago that the etiquette goes out of the window when it's girly time drinking wine!!! :D When I am serving my Mother or Granny then it has to be adhered to at all times or big telling off.....

riding after a few is fine...thinking clipping is a good idea because your so hungover isnt great, my horses forlock has about evened back out now

Ha Ha .... this post made me laugh! Must admit in years gone by I have ridden after a couple of dinner time drinks (not steaming drunk!)

I used to work as a groom and one of the ponies I did was a small non native coloured pony. I used to get a bottle of wine given to me the night before a show and the last question the rider (who was 10 at the time) used to ask me before I left for the evening was .... are you going out tonight!!

Apparently I was fantastic at plaiting up and polishing said pony the morning after the night before!! The bigger the hangover, the better the plaits!! ha ha ha

I was thinking the same - I only get 2.5 glasses from my bottles...
