riding when lost a back shoe

depends on the horse, if your horse has tough feet i dont see a problem with this, my 4 yr old is a native x and hasnt had back shoes on at all, she hacks out 4 times a week, however if your horse is a sensitive type or flat footed i would wait til the farrier can come and replace the lost shoe.

I wouldn't, but only because Chex acts like his leg has been cut off when he loses a shoe. With a less sensitive horse I would, on soft ground.

Walk and trot yes, if it was good ground & he shows no sign of wonkyness (no stones) i assume he is turned out shoeless?

yes,turned out 24/7

I would be tempted to pull the other one and ride if the horse did not have hoof problems.
