Do you think its realistic to ride with a lump on my inner thigh about where stirrup bar is on saddle.

No pics as dont want to get banned.

Just got a share horse and don't want to stop riding - if my diagnosis is correct then probably will only be literally "a bloody mess" if gets rubbed/caught. Currently small but expecting to grow rapidly from last experience.

First doctors appointment made 5th September - but from pre Covid experience took about six weeks to get removed - and expect it will be slower now.

I would wait until after you have treatment.

I would say no... my sister had a hernia in her inner upper thigh, young and athletic muscle tear and even without a lump was extremely painful to ride. Plus, by what you are describing, aggravating it is not likely to be a good idea

Is your lump a boil? Any chance applying magnesium sulphate paste would help reduce the infection in advance of appointment? I did that on the one and only thigh lump i had and it worked brilliantly.
