My sister wants a medium weight combo for warmer days in the field (like today) and when its very cold can put on over all his stable rugs so he has extra warmth.
He has a Weatherbeeta Heavy combo and its excellent and fits him well. So she has bought a Weatherbeeta meduim combo same size and its too tight on shoulders, there is no gusset on the mediums as there is on heavy weights, he is only a tb so dont know what they are like on a chunky horse.
Anyway been on internet and Riff Raff combo turn outs seem reasonably priced with a large shoulder gusset, just wondered if anyone had any experiences with them.
We have looked at the Rambo medium but all there necks are detatchable, and we dont like them like that.

I had one of their fly rug combos which fit my big cob well and lasted ages.

ON teh strength of that I bought a lightweight turnout for my 16.3 hh ISH. It fit him fine but didn't last very long (buckles came off and easily got small tears) and wasn't brilliant on the waterproof stakes so I wouldn't buy again.

I had a selection of Riff raff rugs at one point - when they were being sold in my local feed merchants - unfortunately they don't sell them anymore :(

The rugs I had parted with me when I sold my horse at the time - but I still do have a neck cover made by them.

I always liked their rugs - they are cheap & cheerful, and I think you have to remember that with them. 99% of the time, cheap & cheerful rugs aren't going to last as long as more expensive ones - but I never had a problem with a lack of waterproof-ness with the rugs that I Had.

Got a full neck turn out with no fill and i love it. My rugs seem to get ripped or torn before they get a chance to wear out so I think Riff Raff are fine. This is the second season it's being used and it still looks great. Lasted better than my no fill Weatherbeeta.
