I couldn't do without my liveryman harmony clippers. Very light; I have the mains cable and the battery pack so can use without a lead. Super quiet, cheap and easily up to doing multiple clips.

My horse came to me impossible to clip - tried sedation, twitching, everything... I made the mistake of listening to much more experienced horsey people and just ended up upsetting my horse even more :(

With a bit of time and patience he is now pretty good. I am also called upon to deal with other 'bad' clippers now and find the harmony clippers invaluable.

hauptner 2000, love them nice and light very quiet. managed to get my unclipperable horse clipped twice with them last yr. have clipped 2 in a row with them and i think they are good value as there are going into there 3rd year with no problems. clipped tb's and hairys alike no problems

Hi I have the lister star (I think that's what they are called). I got them as they were said to be designed for ladies as they are lighter weight. I really like them and they are def lighter than my friends worsley ones. I have had them about 4yrs and have not had any problems at all *touching wood*. They are fairly quiet too, as quiet as clippers get I guess. Overall I am really happy with them.

Hope that helps :)

Heiniger Progress would be ideal for you. I bought them after they were recommended on here last winter. Very light and quiet :) Not too expensive either.

My dad bought my liverymans 15 years ago and there still going strong now!!!!! Theyve paid for themselve and earnt me alot of pocket money on top, theres probaly newer versions of the ones ive got as there quite heavy and big but 15 years ago you didnt get the range you do now, i would only buy liveryman ever now!!!

Seconded. Ive not found anyone with a bad word to say on them, even I can clip using them so they must be light and easy!

Thirded! I bought them specifically because they were quiet and my cob gelding is a complete wuss! He is fine with them and also the big mare I had at the time was good to do but when her new owner tried to clip her she went nuts so apparently she liked them too! They did 2 clips in a row plus one set of feathers, then another clip last year, all on the same set of blades.

Lister Star clippers are excellent. I had mine as a present last year and im delighted with them. They are very lightweight, can easily clip two horses in succession without overheating and are a really good price too. There is a shop selling them on the internet for £196!

Lister Star Clippers

I bought them because they were the cheapest good quality ones at the time, with the best reviews, and everyone I know with clippers swears by Lister!
I used them all last winter and they were excellent, lightweight and easy to use, not too noisey (used on my never been clipped before horses and they all stood perfectly!), and they work very well.

You do need to shop around though, I managed to find mine advertised for 50 quid less than everywhere else was selling them, on the internet, they arrived very quickly, and I've been very happy with them :)
