Right guys we need to help someone

Injury, temperament, age aren't important, a uterus is the only important requirement. And don't worry about whether oh has been graded either, provided he isn't gelded he can serve. If you aren't that alluring with a dodgy leg then get a teaser in.

Thanks LL - I just spat tea all over my keyboard at work :D

Sorry bertolie! Just a thought gw, but if you dye your hair several colours, with an unusual pattern, your foals will sell for more.

Oh dear, just read that GWs OH is considering PTS as he has his eye on a younger fitter model. Do you think he's one of "those" unfeeling sorts, you know, years of good service and then, first sign of a problem, PTS. Poor, poor GW, we need to start a collection to save her from the meat man!! Ill check my pockets, think theres a few old polos, bits of carrot and broken dog biscuits that I could chip in to get things rolling.

Bloodbank before or after foaling, pts & scoping for ulcers? Another thought, have you had your back/teeth/saddle checked every 6wks all your life gw? If not you are clearly in pain. Do you ever wear shoes? If so your husband needs to change your diet.

After. get a good filly off her first.

tbh if she is having sugars at all its not wonder her legs broken, all down the sugars you know.

GW are you having a mainly fibre diet?

Also worm counts may be an idea...?

it must be kissingspine it is the root of all evil and if anyone has ever even thought of sitting on her she must have it.

so do we go for expensive surgery with risk of arthritis or PTS now?

Do keep up jools. Gw is being put in foal, not being ridden, so it doesn't matter if she has kissing spines. The extra weight & pregnancy hormones will cure ks if she does have it.

That depends gw, if oh's replacement ride is going well, you will need retiring. If replacement ride isn't up to much, you will conveniently be happier kept in work.

Did someone mention a hanging swede? Of the male variety I presume, about 6'4", covered in baby oil and dangling decoratively off the chandelier.....ought to pass an hour or two quite nicely I reckon....

I don't think he will manage to ride two ! so i best get ready to be turned out fully clipped for winter in a light weight ????? oh and my shoes will have to be removed cause i wont need them "ouch, ekk ouch" - sorry i am a thin soled tb and have some right rocks to walk over - oh and i wont need any extra feed will i cause i will look as if i am getting fatter - well i will be in foal wont i??

We need to take GW off all manufactured feeds, absolutely no molasses and feed her on herbs, let her self select she'll know which ones will help her body to heal best

I think it's important GW gets plenty of mental stimulation as well as well you know . I get the impression that she is happy to share her opinion so feel we should ask her for any help we may need .So with some artistic license .Dear GW my mare has been turned out in a mixed heard and now pregnant ,not sure how that happened.Although I know nothing about horses am not too worried as have had a puppy ,keeping a foal can't be much different.Any advice would be greatly ignored.

Hubby sounds like he has conformational faults and I am doubting temperament...

We need to re-consider who to put GW to! Should this be posted in Breeding or Vet section?

Uumm..yes, sounds like the 6'4" oil covered swede would be a better bet and the foal could be marketed as a warmblood with dressage potential. Any negative trait inherited from the dam can be attributed to it's additional high performance potential :)

I reckon she should just be buted up and fired through the sales, maybe a nice parelli person will come along with a carrot stick and save her, either that or the meat man might pay a couple of quid for her.

You crib! Fantastic! If you display vices you must be a proper competition horse. Just think what you're foals will be worth now. Can you sew at all? We could describe that as weaving & bump up the price more.

You are in fine form LL.

However I think this could be a troll post and GW hasn't got legs at all
