Found a suitable pony on RHRH and decided to apply to owners to get some more information about him. Only I didn't because I found out I had to subscribe before I can contact owners! What a scam - I mean since when did anyone have to pay a subscription in order to enquire about buying something? I am truly shocked - I can understand they are selling it as a method to make sure you don't time waste, but in my recent experience I have had more sellers wasting my time than anything! Shame, pony looks lovely but owners are obviously only advertising him on there despite much internet searching. Cant actually believe anyone pays to £14 a month for the privilege of enquiring about horses that may or may not be suitable. Am I being unreasonable?!?!

I found a couple of horses on there i liked so paid a months fee. Neither turned out to be 'the one' so i made sure i cancelled the subscription.

OP if the pony is potentially that perfect for you then £14 is nothing in the greater scheme of things! I would say though, dont just send them a 'how much/ more info please' really take the time to tell them about yourself and the home you can offer and what you are looking for. There is a reason its advertised on that site so the owner is going to potentially want to know as much about you as possible. Fill that message box up first time, lol :)

Paying is to put off time wasters. If you see a horse you really like its worth £14. My friend found one - unfortunately failed the vet
