Hiya i think this is in the right place but correct me if i'm wrong!

Had my mare for a little over 6 months and i've been training to get her fit. I lunge her a lot with nothing more than a head collar and a lunge line. I have never seen a use for a roller/side reins etc if the horse is going well.

When ridden she brings herself into an outline so i just go with it. Have been trying to get her working long and low and over trotting poles but i was just wondering if she is over bending?

She has become quite cresty but i just wondered if this was because of the spring grass coming through, she doesn't get a lot of grass.

I've added in some photos, let me know if you need any more.

Appreciate all comments, thank you.

Weird! I posted the reply above as when I looked at your post, it only had the first sentence! and nothing else - the title line was only an explanation mark too.

weird!

Think she looks fine to me. Better to have a good top line than muscle under the neck.

Haha yeah i accidentally entered the wrong title, so i had to edit it.

It's not that i'm trying to build up muscle in her neck but it's building up anyways so i want to make sure it's at least the correct muscle!

I'll work on building her top line up though! Thank you.
