RIGHT, QUICKLY- Recommend me a GOOD insurance company

I have been with NFU for years, yes they are not the cheapest but I have never had a problem with them paying out on a claim.

I have 4 horses, my dogs and the Land Rover.

One of my dogs has 3 ongoing claims and they pay out every time I send an invoice in.

Would go nowhere near E&L and neither would my vets.

Definately won't be going near E&L

Got a cheaper quote through KBIS £35 a month so think I'll go with them.

I know NFU are good as been with them in the past but really can't justify £50 a month atm.

I use Stoneways... havent had to claim from them but they were the most competitive !

I too moved from NFU after years of staying with them.

Was with NFU for years and they were brilliant. Helpful staff and no hassle prompt payment. But since the premiums have shot up the last couple of years have decided to self insure. Have public liability through Society membership so don't need that.
Would also recommend giving E&L a very wide berth. Have heard awful tales about their refusal to pay out at any opportunity.

I use petplan for my older horse and they have been great. They paid out nearly £2000 last year for his check ligament and I have an ongoing claim with them for a stifle injury at present and they have just accepted the claim and have paid out the first vet. the bill is already around £700 and that's just for diagnosis!!

SEIB have all 7 horses, trailer and van with them. Over the years have Claimed for vets fees, loss of trailer, 2 horses. Always paid prompt.

Just check you are getting the same cover. I got quote last year and KBIS was same price as NFU for same cover (cheaper did not give me as much). SEIB and Petplan were more expensive.

I have had a nightmare time with the ponies over the last three years, with 7 claims on 5 different ponies, including losing two. NFU have been absolutely brilliant, no quibbles, prompt service, direct liaison with vets, prompt payouts. I've even just been onto the broker and reduced the value of two ponies as they are getting on a bit which has reduced the premiums accordingly. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
