Right, while I'm all buoyed up about this jumping malarky....

.....what is the correct attire for attending Clear Round show jumping? (I dont mean at a proper show - this is just a session being held at our local EC next week.) Should one wear jods or jeans? If jods, should they be white/pale? Should one wear a shirt, or will a t shirt/boob tube (ok, maybe not a boob tube

) suffice? Bear with me please, I have never, EVER been clear round jumping, and I may well chicken out yet, so no promises! But I figure that its probably a good place to start, bearing in mind it used to be our favourite venue

Probably best to contact the centre regarding dress code. We have evening unaffiliated jumping near me and the dress code is casual, but riders MUST wear a hat and correct boots.

I would suggest smart horse stuf, you wont need white jods and so on.

I have read your other post about going off jumpin and wanting to have a go after a while off.

Just go and enjoy it, anything you dont feel happy to jump leave it out!

Jeans and boob tube DEFINITELY! Do you have any trainers? These look good to put your spurs on. Wear a baseball cap, if possible, but if not, make sure you tilt your riding hat backwards on your head to expose as much forehead as possible.

I would personally say wear jodhs, colour probably doesn't matter really but a neutral tone, and a smartish polo shirt or something would probably do. Having said that, I would bring a shirt with you just incase, and just generally make sure you're clean and tidy.

I'd wear the dress you would normally use when you used to do BSJA. Always look professional! Then you'll be ready for the bigger classes again...

All bests, BS x

I'd bob on some beige jods, long boots, confortable white stock shirt and bob a polo shirt/jumper over the top, so when you get there you can either dress down or dress up depending on what everyone else is sporting and just take your jacket with you.

Some places are very keep in a smart proffessional dress code, other places are more relaxed, but yeah just ring them and see what they say.

Just wear jods of any colour and a T shirt. They really won't care over there. You should go on Sunday - then you could dress up.
