Here's one for you,
In 2004 i competed at Birchinley Manor, in the Festival of Champions.
I rode in the Veteran class, which was held on 24th October.
The weather was terrible, did my class and went home. I looked for the name of the photographer about a month later, and couldn't find it and Birchenley was sold on, so no one who answered the phone could help me.
In August i lost Jess, and since then have tried different routes to find the photo, or photographer. It is now becoming an obsession with me as i never had a proffesional photo of her.
Did anyone compete there that year and has a photo, (it may have the name on the back) or does anyone know who he/she was?
Any info would be fab and i am aware that even if i find him, he may not have copies anymore, but it's worth the long shot.

Hi Jo,
Probably no help at all but I competed there on two different years and it was Real Time photographers. It wasnt 2004 though, just thought they may have done the photos each year, worth a look.
Sorry to hear about Jess, co incidence I know but my last horse who I also lost was called Jess. She was a special mare too.

I lost her in August, what i didn't tell you before was that she had a small fracture of her radius, but it was the infection of the sheath tendon that got her in the end.
They operated on her twice at Leahurst, but sadly they couldn't clear it.
Must be something about horses called Jess that makes them that bit more special, she was such a sweetie!

How sad, Im so sorry. Thats why Jay went to Leahurst as Simon thought his carpal sheath must have been infected due to the wound which was right near it. They said he was very very lucky that it turned out not to be.
My Jess was pts as she had colic that required surgery and she'd just been retired at 8 yrs old with ringbone. I was told she probably wouldnt have made it through surgery due to the time involved and because she had advanced ringbone meant she may not have withstood the long box rest needed.

Sorry to depress you further, but professional photographers rarely keep photos over a year (as far as I know). Maybe some who competed the same year as you might have a video? Good luck
