My horse has high & low rigbone in both front legs, hes 8 years old and an ex race horse, standing at 17.1hh but a temp to die for. hes on devils claw & synaquin. lame some days and fine others. i ride x2 a week and give x2 bute before hand! Any advive/tips or anyone in same boat as i

I have Paddy (grey in sig) who has low ringbone in his near hind who like your chap has a fab temp and he is on just Devils Claw.Which he seems to manage fine on that and he is being ridden 4/5 times a week .Paddy seems to much more comfortable when he is out rather than as he tends to stiffen up more and will take longer to warmer up if he has been kept in so we tend to leave him out more often.

Sorry i don't think this will help you that much!

Sorry mine isnt a great story but my lovely mare had high and low ringbone. It was advanced and she ended up with golf ball sized lumps on the side of each pastern. She too had good and bad days but in the end I retired her. She was only 8 too. Something that did work wonders was Feedmarks Flexamine, cortavet didnt do anything.

mine wasnt going to be a success story but it certainly is now - she was on the verge of being put down early last year- she has ringbone in her coffin joint and fetlock in both fronts. She would be chronic lame some days then fine the next. She had £1000's of treatment includint adequan injections, all the joint supplements you can think of, nothing really worked. She had remedial farrier, no shoes, front shoes, everything, nothing worked for her so she was to be PTS.

My friend and NH trainer asked if she could try natural barefoot with her,i had nothing to loose. Within 4 weeks she came sound (april 07). she was back riding within 3 months (after being retired for approx 3yrs) I took her to a indoor XC clinic within 6months and i thought that would be enough to test if anything was to go wrong - Weebrown can vouch for me, she never went lame, was thrilled to be out jumping again.

So my mare is back in work and doing everything again - not to the same level as i now have 2 other youngsters and a pony but she is still worked and not lame.
She doesnt have any joint supplements - just linseed and that works great for her.
