Ringworm, a rub or something else?

My boy got this a couple of days ago. I originally thought a rub or he’d caught it on something but it got a little more angry looking yesterday and seems to be a bit itchy.

I’ve considered ringworm but I know it is usually young horses that get it. Or some sort of rain scald/fungal infection. Currently using Fungatrol on it (only started yesterday) and will see whether it starts getting better and if it gets worse obviously I’ll ask my Vet but trying to decide whether he has just knocked the hair off or it’s something else. thoughts please!

Ringworm tends to be more flaky/scaly looking. Looks like he’s just knocked it and taken the hair off

doesn't look like ringworm to me and i have a baby rescue kitten with it at the moment who is having treatment. patchy and scaly

Looks like a little nick. Rain scald is oozy and scabby. Even if it were RS a wash and a bit of fungatrol / antiseptic cream would probably be all that you’d need. I always just pop a little sudocreme on. Doesn’t look like ringworm either.
