Ringworm! ARRGGH!!

Benj has got bloody ringworm! No doubt caught from the cows

Does anyone know what the course of treatment will be?
I have only had experience with it in humans and dogs.

Any advice will be much appreciated

wash everything in Imaverol!! (Horse, stable rugs etc). Can get it off the internet without a prescription (cheaper than the vets). Good luck!!

Canestan cream,for human thrush is brilliant for getting rid of ring worm,and also very cheap.
We use it when our horses get it off our cows,and it really does the trick!

Have actually just spoken with the vet and they have cajoled me into a visit.....

What do the symptons of Ringworm look like? Because my horsey has just been diagnosed with it as well ! I am not convinced that he has it!

Sorry i forgot to say my nag has been prescribed some anti biotc powder stuff to put in his feed and a wash for his face to be used twice a week!( the vet reckons he has it on his face) horsey not the vet!!

One of my horses caught it last year from cattle, got the powder stuff off vet to put in feed and it was exactly as he said, in three weeks had all cleared up and hair grown back.
