My horse has caught ringworm from another horse in the field.Bought treatment from the vet at £35 but wont start using it until my horses are moved this week.Read that aloe vera gel can help with getting rid of ringworm.Has anyone used this before or know if it would work?

not starting treatment until they move cause they will probably just get it again and not able to get to the yard everyday (one of the reasons they are being moved) yeah they have their own block at the new yard.Do i apply caneston everyday? He only has it on his face.

Better to treat now rather than be certain of taking infective horses to a new yard, is this a money saving idea?
Ringworm can be a difficult condition, and may get worse, a lot worse, often they are treated internally.

Check with your vet but it probably would work better if used every day. I have only used it on hooves for treating thrush, it works quite well.
