Its been a while since i last posted an update about Rio and im sure at least one person would like to know so here goes :)

I havent ridden much since my last update... 3 times actually :o with starting my new job, horrible weather, dark evenings and no school i am finding it can be a bit difficult to fit everything in but i think hes enjoying the time off and he is enjoying hacking out when we do :) and hopefully everything will settle down so i can ride more often and hopefully find a school that is owned by someone who doesnt think that he is going to mount anything that moves... fair enough, im not complaining its their school and yes he is an evil devil stallion that i have no control of... obviously ;)

we have now got to the point we can trot on hacks and we have control!! and he now walks behind Taz without getting excited! so progress!! he has also stopped biting as much :) and leads in like a donkey... most of the time!!

i havent got much to report other than that :( although he has turned very cuddly which is cute :) and im sorry to say but still no photos of me on him as we dont take cameras on hacks as both of them can be pains in the bum!!

but this is a video of him this morning trashing his field, having a funny 5 mins :o he does this every morning but this is the first time i have filmed it :) when he looks really close to the gate he does actually run into it :o but he was fine i checked him over after :)

sorry about the quality it was on my phone!!

i would upload photos but photobucket is having a funny 5 mins :(

Would he have been turned out much in Spain? At least he does it in one bit instead of trashing the whole field I suppose!

Glad he is coming on but I demand some ridden pics and video!:p

its very nice :) the fleece bit is good but the clip part is quite tight i think its going to strangle him :o other than that its a nice rug other than coming up too big! i love this horse as hes had it nearly 2 weeks and hes yet to roll as he doesnt like mud mwhahahah clean rug!! unlike my other mud monster!!

he wasnt turned out at all :( he had a 10x10 stable that he lived in for 8 years :( on his own... well except for chickens...he had a chicken

Im really sorry about the pictures and videos of ridden rio!! i will demand that my mother uses the camera next time we are up and i wont post an update until we do!!

i wouldnt mind so much if he wasnt so heavy footed! hes like a bleeding elephant because of his paces... oh well he can do it because he looks lovely doing it ;) he has an excuse!

He looks so much like my boy even though mines grey due to mud looks like the same colour as yours. Is yours spanish bred

He is spanish bred yes :) see he turns grey because hes so scurfy at the moment and i havent been around during the day to bath him so he looks like a dirty grey :o

The stompy front leg action should improve with correct work, as he gets stronger and more balanced. He looks like he will find that reasonably easy as he already brings his rear end under when he trots. Lurrrvely :D I miss my Spanish boy.

He should chill out in the field too. They always go bonkers to start with. Don't be surprised if he always prefers his stable though. It's just what they know. Especially if it's raining. My chap didnt 'do' rain :D he always looked completely affronted and stood by the gate with a face on until you brought him in

i havent schooled him since we got him as i just want him to chill out which he is doing :) he does like his stable but supprisingly he loves his field even in the rain :o but he doesnt like mud so being on clay he doesnt like the amount of mud :o fussy git ;) will try and hire a school asap and get him going so you can have some ridden pics and videos :)
