Absolutely made up for them, I know how hard everyone there has worked and if recent horse events are anything to go by, it will be one hell of a show! They have plenty of things before then going on to get in some practise, The 2014 World Cup and the 2010 Global Champions Tour Final for the horse minded.

As soon as Chicago and Madrid were eliminated, I knew that Rio had it (as last games were in Asia, it would not go to Tokyo). Maybe Barry O'Bama's magic doesn't work on the IOC delegates...

when i was in rio in july i was quite sure they would win, I said so and wanted to mention it in a story i was doing but when i heard the Obama speeches I thought oh dear everyone will be carried away by that but now i am nearly as excited as when London won. Brazil will do a great job.

Cannot wait for the 2016 games. I think that the atmosphere in Rio will be unbeatable and I'm sure that they will do a great job as hosts. It will be interesting to see where the equestrian events are situated and how they will be catered for- hopefully there will be more room than at Greenwich!
