RIP Ariane

A friend of mine had her 23y/o home bred mare pts early this morning. Despite a joint infection as a foal, she loved life and sucessfully bred a handful of foals, 3 of which remain hers and have homes for life. Maddie (as she was known) had an amazing character and was so resiliant throughout her life. Although many would have pts earlier she pulled through many of lifes troubles, was a fantastic mother, and babysitter to other foals.
I just wanted to remember her life in someway.
Goodnight Maddie, and Rest in Peace, you deserve it.

Poor Ariane you must all be devestated 23 yrs is a long time to have a horse but to have bred her as well makes it even harder when they go.
