My gorgeous albino ferret past away yesterday, he was quite old and seemed a little quiet on the weekend. I have had him nearly 6 years, rescued him and his 'brother' for a ferret rescue in ongar. He was so cuddly and a real clown I will miss him so much and have been in tears all night.
The worst bit is he has gone down into the pipe that leads to the run under the cage and I can't get to him as I'm not strong enough to lift the cage on my own. Desparately trying to find someone to help me as the other ferret is still in there and I feel so awful and upset. I also really don't want to be the one to drag him out, how I wish my Dad was here.
Sorry for the ramble but I'm feeling so upset and not in control of the situation.
Will have to rehome my other boy as it isn't fair to keep him on his own and I'm moving soon so not a great time to be getting another one,

Oh poor you, RIP Benny. Hopefully you can get someone to help - are there any HHOers near you?

My fella Bob was hit by a car (he kept escaping and going a-wandering, despite all my best DIY efforts!) and I remember being so upset.
He was also a big clown, always making me laugh. I remember one time when he was doing his 'dance'

and I I was on the ground playing with him, he was out working and was just giving him a break, well he gave this massive leap sideways and just fell right down a rabbit hole and he was so shocked he let out a massive squeal.

If you feel you can't keep your remaining lad, I am sure you will get him a good home - my two got a fab working home and were also companions for a young disabled boy when I had to move house.

If you go onto the ferret forums there may be someone local to you that would come and help you and maybe rehome your other one for you. RIP Benny.

Thanks guys, I'm leaving work in a bit as my neighbour said she'll help me, god knows how as neither of us are very strong! I keep crying just thinking about it so its going to be very tough to pull him out, the tube is quite long and I'm not sure which bit he is in so it'll be tricky but I'll just have to be strong!
