Sounds silly but he was one of the 'key' horses of my childhood, along with Midnight Madness.

That's sad - will have to break the news gently to one his relatives on our yard - Norman is 23 too and looked quite a lot like It's Otto. For a while Norm even had the nickname "I can't believe it's not Otto" however, Norman hated jumping LOL.

Have to say was surprised to read Otto was 23 I'd have thought he'd be older than that.

It is very sad but at least he enjoyed a good retirement with lots of the fuss and attention that he loved. I understand that the decision had to be taken yesterday to save him any suffering. He was the same age as Geoff's eldest son James. He leaves us with so many fond memories.
