Yesterday we lost our dear old Border Collie Kes, she was the best family dog you could ever wish for, no trouble in life and no trouble in her passing. She hd been having the odd little turn since last Sept. the Vet thought little strokes, Wednesday she had eaten well, but not drunk very much, in the evening she had a turn, but seemed Ok afterwards. Thursday morning she went out for a wee about 6.30m but was panting a bit when she came in, didn't want her breakfast. OH was going to take her to the vet, but she didn't get there, by 8.15 she had passed away peacefully on the sofa in his arms, she leaves a very large Kes shaped hole in our lives, the two Spins are a bit lost and quiet.

Very sorry to hear about your loss, glad for you it was peaceful but sad too. RIP Kes you've left paw prints on the hearts of those you left behind!

Thank you for your kind words, she was fifteen and a half and would have protected our two boys to the death when she was younger. Even when you know they are on borrowed time it makes it no easier when they go.
